Job Responsibilities:

 Key Responsibilities: 

You will develop effective strategies and plans as well as provide strong leadership to achieve the following:      

  • Develop, review and fine-tune the curriculum and programmes to ensure alignment to MOE/ECDA preschool education frameworks and market needs. Consequently lead the organisation towards successful licensing of all preschools and compliance with ECDA’s Curriculum and Professional Development KPIs      
  • Conducive learning environment design to facilitate effective implementation of curriculum and programmes, supported by appropriate teaching resources and materials.      
  • Appropriate developmental programmes and on-the-job training to raise the pedagogical skills of our teachers and their ability to facilitate children’s optimal learning. In addition, raise the confidence and competence of Centre Principals in providing curriculum leadership.      
  • Effective implementation of the curriculum and programmes across all centres to enable consistent, high quality children’s learning experiences and outcomes.      
  • Accreditation of centres under the Singapore Preschool Accreditation Framework and long term sustainability of quality standards.      
  • Introduce initiatives/programmes which involve parents as strategic partners in education.      
  • Strengthen the position as an Anchor Operator and leader in the early childhood education field through curriculum innovations, staff and children’s achievement in national awards/competitions/ECE conferences and participation in research activities.

 

 

Requirements:      

  • Minimum Masters Qualification in Early Childhood Education 
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a leadership/senior management role in Early Childhood Education settings       
  • Experience as a practitioner eg. in teaching, centre management, teacher training would be an advantage
  • Good knowledge of early childhood education system including licensing, training and accreditation frameworks
  • Must have knowledge of current techniques and procedures used in the design and development of early childhood curriculum
  • Must have breadth and depth of experience in teacher training/professional development
  • Proven track record of good performance in leading and managing large teams
