Assist in reviewing or/and developing policies and guidelines in the management of breastfeeding or healthy full-term and pre-term infants in accordance with MOH Nursing Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs).
Ensure patient is aware of hospital providing continue support in assisting breastfeeding. Supervise post-natal mothers and promote optimal health through collaboration with breastfeeding mothers and the healthcare team.
Responsible for the evaluation and implementation of additional or new educational programs to meet the needs of our clients. Monitor vendor performance to meet hospital's quality services.
Coordinate internal and external events to promote the organization's maternity services.
Maintain and advance own clinical competence and professional development.
Criteria for Senior Lactation Consultant:
At least 3 years in a maternity hospital of which 2 years must be a Senior Staff Nurse. At least 2 to 4 years' experience as Lactation Consultant
Registered with Singapore Nursing Board is preferred.
International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
Post Basic in Midwifery and Degree in Nursing is preferred.
